MY WRITER’S JOURNAL Sept. 27/17 – Go with the Flow
I had such good intentions to write today, but at 1:30 pm, while having lunch, the dentist called because they have a cancellation at 3:00 pm and wondered if I’d come then instead of 4:30 pm. What could I say? I agreed to make the earlier time. There’s no point in me trying to write today. I need time to get myself organized, and do a little back reading to bring me up to speed. By the time I do all this, it will be time to leave. So instead of getting upset, which I sometimes do, I decided to do some research instead. That’s much easier to pick up and put down.
The day wasn’t a total loss. I spent part of the morning visiting the printer about my banner. I should see something in a few days. I also finalized plans for appearances in October and November. So that’s good. I also connected with another writer online today. If you recall, I’m reading Twelve Key Pillars of Novel Construction by C. S. Lakin. Well, I had a question for her, and she answered right away. I was really impressed. We bounced emails back and forth for a bit. I feel like I’ve made a positive connection. She lives in Colorado. Isn’t the internet amazing?
Anyway, things may have not gone the way I planned, but some good stuff happened anyway.
